President's Message
Greetings,
Thank you for visiting the virtual home of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated — Alpha Alpha Xi Omega Chapter. Where we are intentionally greater in our service to the community and in our sisterhood.
Chartered on March 7, 2020, just before the COVID‑19 shutdown, our chapter began with 47 charter members and nine initial members and has grown to over 60 members in five years. We proudly serve the Greater San Antonio area and surrounding communities, and our chapter has received awards including Small Chapter of the Year as well as recognition for programmatic, operational, and individual achievements. We are also honored to be the home for several military members and their Families.
Guided by Luke 12:48 — “to whom much is given, much is required” — we remain committed to meaningful service and to the legacy of our Founders. Under the leadership of International President and CEO Danette Anthony Reed,
our members are engaged in “Soaring to Greater Heights of Sisterhood and Service,” focusing on five platforms for 2022–2026:
● Empower Our Families
● Build Our Economic Wealth
● Enhance Our Environment
● Advocate for Social Justice
● Uplift Our Local Community
All Pearls of Alpha Kappa Alpha are welcome to visit and attend our events. If you are seeking a chapter home or want to reconnect to the vine, we meet the second Saturday of each month at 10:30 AM. Community members are also invited to attend our public events.
Please follow us on social media for updates and upcoming service projects: “AAXOAKA” on Facebook and “alphaalphaxiomega” on Instagram. We appreciate your interest and look forward to seeing you at our events.
With gratitude and a service‑filled heart,
Kristina L. Smith
